100% Handmade
100% Handpainted
The pots signed Atelier 57 are handmade in our laboratories located in the south of France and in the south of Italy, in places that boast an
ancient tradition in the manufacture of ceramics.
Each pot is unique, in fact to each of them is dedicated a particular attention in every phase of its realization, that’ s because we repeat typical
techniques of the vassal masters.
These are the various steps that lead to the birth of an Atelier57 vase:
The selection and careful processing of clay;
The realization of the shape with the traditional instrument of the “wheel”;
A first cooking;
The colouring of the vase with natural clays;
The vitrification;
The last cooking.
We at Atelier57 believe that beauty is found in the details, in fact each vase has unique character and is slightly different from the other.
This is due to manual processing.
The decorations:
To create wreaths of flowers or other decorations we use plaster moulds created by hands of the vassal masters.
The clay is poured into the mould and once created its shape the decoration will be applied by hand and made to adhere to the vassel with
a special glue made of clay diluted in water.
Accessories and various moulds are all handmade (see photo gallery).
